About the Role

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking an experienced Director - Technical Design to lead technical aspects of its projects. This full-time role, based in Riyadh, requires a strategic leader to ensure high-quality project delivery aligned with the company's vision. The position focuses on enhancing operational performance and meeting all technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical vision and direction, aligning department objectives with company goals.
• Mentor and develop engineering teams to foster skill enhancement and expertise.
• Drive innovation through the adoption of new technologies and methodologies.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects, ensuring adherence to specifications, timelines, and budgets.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective integration of all technical project elements.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in technical operations and implement strategies for enhanced efficiency.
• Utilize data and metrics to assess performance and implement corrective actions.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to align technical requirements with business objectives.
• Build relationships with suppliers, contractors, and industry partners to support project success.
• Ensure compliance with relevant local and international engineering and construction standards and regulations.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with technical operations.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of technical specifications, project plans, and compliance records.
• Prepare detailed reports for senior management and stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree in a related field is advantageous.
• A minimum of 12 years of experience in a leadership role within technical services or engineering management, specifically on large-scale development or construction projects.
• Demonstrated experience applying project management methodologies and principles.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Experience in driving innovation and implementing continuous improvement initiatives in technical operations.
• In-depth knowledge of engineering standards, regulations, and compliance requirements pertinent to large-scale projects.
• Experience with risk management and problem-solving in complex environments.
• Proficiency in preparing technical documentation and reports.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position located in Riyadh. The role involves working within a dynamic project environment focused on large-scale development.
