Abdul Hadi Abdullah Al-Qahtani & Sons Beverage Company (AQS-PEPSI) is seeking a skilled Lathe Machine Operator to join their team in Abha, 'Asir, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is integral to the manufacturing and repair of mechanical parts, ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of company equipment.

Role Overview

The Lathe Machine Operator will be responsible for operating conventional and CNC lathe machines to produce precision components. This involves accurately interpreting technical drawings and specifications to meet required fits and tolerances. The role demands a strong understanding of machining processes, a commitment to quality, and a proactive approach to safety and efficiency in all tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate conventional and CNC lathe machines for the manufacturing and repair of mechanical parts.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, ensuring adherence to specified fits and tolerances.
• Perform various machining operations including boring, drilling, reaming, threading, and tapping.
• Set up machine tools, inserts, collets, and other necessary accessories for operation.
• Conduct quality checks using precision measuring instruments to verify parts meet standards.
• Maintain the operational condition of lathe machines, including coolant, lubrication, and general upkeep.
• Adhere strictly to work orders, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and all safety regulations.
• Assist in training new operators and contribute to the improvement of work processes.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in compliance with company standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor to support operational needs.

Qualifications and Experience

• High School Diploma, Trade Certificate (ITI), or an equivalent technical qualification is required.
• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, beverage, bottling, FMCG, or machine shop environments is essential.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Proficiency in operating both conventional and CNC lathe machines.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Solid knowledge of various machining processes and materials.
• Familiarity with FANUC control systems.
• Competence in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and gauges.
