Job Description

About the Role

TASNEE, a private industrial joint-stock company established in 1985, announces its need for a specialized Fire Engineer to join its team in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. This role reports to the Fire Supervisor and plays a vital role in maintaining the safety and effectiveness of fire protection systems and emergency response capabilities.

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and implement all fire protection policies and procedures in accordance with TASNEE Fire Protection Standards, NFPA codes, local legislation, and HCIS SAF directives.
  • Direct and participate in the planning of emergency response activities in accordance with the pre-established Fire Emergency Plan.
  • Review fire reports, such as daily supervisor reports and fitness reports, to identify required actions, facilitate progress, and provide feedback for quality assurance and stakeholders.
  • Participate in all fire risk assessments, Management of Change (MOC) processes, and incident investigations.
  • Liaise with all production departments to identify fire protection equipment maintenance requirements.
  • Support the fire team during alarms and provide necessary technical support at the emergency scene.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports detailing the status of all fire protection equipment.
  • Liaise with TASNEE, JAMA'A, and all Jubail petrochemical industries regarding fire equipment issues, benchmarking, and other relevant matters as needed.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities related to the fire station facilities and equipment, ensuring compliance with HCIS SAF directives.
  • Identify and alert any deficiencies in fire and gas systems and provide solution plans.
  • Analyze data, review reports, and provide action plans to improve overall fire performance.
  • Ensure compliance with preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for fire equipment and fire trucks.
  • Evaluate and maintain inspection, testing, and maintenance records as per requirements.
  • Provide required technical evaluations for fire safety-related contracts and projects.
  • Review and process fire project packages for necessary HCIS approval.
  • Review, enhance, and facilitate the use of IMRS16 to ensure full compliance.
  • Create and maintain SAP entities for emergency response equipment.
  • Provide fire training as per the defined competency training plan.
  • Cover the responsibilities of the Fire Supervisor (Fire SI) during their absence.
  • Review and update fire department procedures to ensure they remain current and effective.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Fire Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial environment as a Fire Protection Engineer.
  • Hold certifications in Firefighter – Level II, Hazardous Materials (Hazmat), and Rescue.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in conducting incident investigations.
  • Competency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong understanding of plant operations/department functions.
  • Ability to identify gaps and common themes related to Environment, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS).
  • Ability to classify initial risk levels.
  • Ability to categorize incidents into appropriate classifications.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position requiring presence in Jubail City, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. The role requires 2-5 years of experience in a related field.
