About the Role

Alfalak Electronic Equipment & Supplies Co. is seeking a full-time Information Technology Network Specialist to join our team in Jubail, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This role is central to designing, planning, installing, maintaining, and supporting IT communication networks, ensuring smooth operation, maximum performance, and high availability for all end users. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Core Network Design and Implementation

• Plan, design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade technical architecture to support high-speed, converged data, voice, and video networks.
• Implement, maintain, and optimize LAN, WLAN, and WAN connectivity.
• Implement and maintain routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP for fast convergence, consistent bandwidth calculation, and multi-homing internet/WAN connectivity.
• Implement and maintain end-to-end Quality of Service and wireless controllers.

Network Operations and Maintenance

• Plan, procure, test, and deploy network software and hardware upgrades and replacements.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of network configurations, changes, and topology.
• Ensure smooth backups for all network systems and devices as per established policies and procedures.
• Implement and maintain network monitoring and management solutions for proactive maintenance and device management.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and upgrades for network devices and servers, including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations with proper testing.
• Monitor performance to ensure network systems availability and reliability, meeting departmental KPIs.
• Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis of network systems, handling escalations with vendors.

Strategic Planning and Compliance

• Ensure all network devices and services comply with cybersecurity policies and procedures.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure network resilience and quick recovery in case of failure or breach, and conduct regular drills.
• Research and evaluate new technologies, network products, and services to enhance user experience and improve network performance and reliability.
• Prepare annual CAPEX budgets and plan, scope, and procure service contracts.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls.

Collaboration and Technical Support

• Provide manuals, training, and knowledge transfer to the operation team, and grant necessary privileges to IT operators.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate network solutions with other systems and applications.
• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff regarding network-related issues.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver network infrastructure for construction projects.

Experience Requirements

Candidates for the Information Technology Network Specialist position should possess 2-5 years of experience in a related field, demonstrating a strong background in network design, implementation, maintenance, and support.
