Business Development Director Energy

About the Role

Front End Limited Company is seeking a Business Development Director – Energy to lead the growth agenda for its Energy portfolio. This full-time position is based in Al Khobar and focuses on driving revenue expansion across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC region. The role involves originating, shaping, and closing major opportunities while deepening strategic partnerships with global technology providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the business development strategy for the Energy division across eight capability areas: EPC & Project Delivery; Valves, Actuators & Testing; Subsurface & Seismic Services; Drilling & Rig Services; Energy Infrastructure Solutions; Well Construction & Production; AI, Optimization & Compliance; and Waste-to-Energy & Pyrolysis Solutions.
• Build and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities across upstream, midstream, downstream, and renewable/circular-economy segments.
• Identify emerging market opportunities driven by Saudi Vision 2030 programs, energy transition initiatives, localization (IKTVA) requirements, and giga-projects.
• Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with key accounts including Saudi Aramco, SABIC, ministries, and other government and industrial stakeholders.
• Lead capture planning, positioning, and pre-qualification for major tenders and framework agreements.
• Represent Front End Energy at industry events, conferences, and client engagements across KSA and the region.

Partnerships and Commercial Execution

• Strengthen and commercialize Front End's exclusive agency and partnership agreements with international technology providers.
• Evaluate and recommend new alliances, joint ventures, and agency agreements to expand the Energy portfolio.
• Lead proposal development, pricing strategy, negotiation, and contract closure for complex, multi-stakeholder deals.
• Collaborate with engineering, project delivery, and operations teams to ensure winnable, deliverable, and profitable solutions.
• Manage revenue, order intake, and margin targets for the Energy division and report performance to executive leadership.

Market Intelligence and Governance

• Monitor competitor activity, regulatory developments, and technology trends across oil, gas, renewables, and waste-to-energy markets.
• Ensure full compliance with company governance, ethics, anti-corruption (TRACE), and client procurement standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in business development within the energy sector.
• Demonstrated ability to originate, shape, and close major opportunities with national oil companies, government entities, EPC contractors, and industrial operators.
• Experience in strategic partnerships and alliances with technology providers.
