Join Wood as a Cost Engineer and become part of a vibrant team working on exciting oil and gas projects. In this role, you will play a critical part in project execution and cost management.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, issue, and maintain Project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) for specific scopes.
  • Liaise with various project functions to assist in the development of project budgets, ensuring all scopes and assumptions are accurately reflected.
  • Work closely with procurement, finance, and third parties to capture all relevant costs accurately.
  • Maintain project cost budgets and monitor expenditures through all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare project cost performance reports and forecasts in accordance with reporting requirements.
  • Attend project meetings and manage the project work approval process.
  • Facilitate communication between project teams regarding cost and schedule impacts of changes.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical or business discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant cost experience with proficiency in cost management tools and techniques.
  • Understanding of project management principles and change management processes.

Job Description – Senior Cost / Estimation Engineer

The Senior Cost / Estimation Engineer will be a key player in managing cost estimation, cost planning, and cost control activities across multiple projects. You will ensure accurate cost forecasting and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for all project phases including concept, design, tender, construction, and closeout.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Certifications like MRICS, CCP, or PMP are preferred.
