About the Role

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical Inspector to join our team for Site Operations in Al Khobar, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position offers an opportunity to contribute to significant projects within a world-class engineering services and nuclear organization. As a Mechanical Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of construction works by meticulously reviewing contract documents, specifications, and drawings. You will be responsible for site supervision, monitoring contractor performance, and maintaining detailed records to uphold the highest standards of project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand package contract documents, detailed drawings, specifications, and health and safety measures, including any associated updates.
• Ensure contractor compliance with contract standards and specifications through observation, measurements, and testing, while tracking quality assurance progress.
• Maintain records of the contractor's daily manpower and equipment resources.
• Undertake all site supervision and inspections as required or instructed by the Resident Engineer (RE) or Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE).
• Document contractor personnel and equipment, observed activities, locations, reasons for activities, and utilized means and methods within assigned areas.
• Report on materials delivery and follow and implement any site instructions provided by the leader.
• Apply and implement all quality controls and quality procedures of the site.
• Prepare any site measurements and surveying checks needed by the leader.
• Monitor conformance to quality, performance, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties.
• Monitor the health and safety of construction works and report on any violations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience in construction supervision with a consultancy is required.
• A minimum of 8 years of overall experience is required, with at least 5 years specifically in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region.
• Experience in Mechanical-related construction projects is essential.
• Must possess consultancy experience.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of basic design requirements, mechanical methodologies, and installation processes and procedures.
• Familiarity with Building Codes.
• Experience in creative and interactive building projects.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Competent report writing abilities, capable of presenting views clearly and concisely in good written English.
• Detailed knowledge of construction techniques.
