The Role of Lead Estimator

KBR Saudi Arabia is seeking a Lead Estimator to join its team in Al Khobar. This full-time position is central to the successful financial planning and execution of major Oil and Gas/Pipeline projects. The Lead Estimator will be responsible for leading and managing project cost estimation throughout various development stages, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of classified estimates during project development stages.
• Prepare and manage comprehensive estimate plans.
• Familiarize with the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) process for developing the estimate cost breakdown structure.
• Prepare and review the cost estimate basis, including Productivity Factor, All-in Rates, Material, and Construction components.
• Lead and coordinate with project teams to develop all requirements needed for the Total Installed Cost (TIC) Estimate.
• Review, validate, and present detailed cost estimate reports to both management and clients.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to other estimators, ensuring adherence to established estimating best practices.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 10 to 20 years of experience in project cost estimation for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) within major Oil and Gas/Pipeline projects.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• Proficiency in MS Packages, particularly strong skills in Word and Excel.
• Familiarization with SAEP-25 standards.
• Knowledge in Aspen Capital Cost Estimator is considered an advantage.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position located in Al Khobar, within the Eastern Region of Saudi Arabia. The role involves working within a project-focused team environment dedicated to large-scale industrial projects.
