We are seeking a Principal Telecommunications Engineer (Transmission & Network Systems SME) to join our team in Al Khobar, Eastern, Saudi Arabia, in a full-time capacity.

Role Overview

The Principal Telecommunications Engineer will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in transmission and network systems, leading the design, development, and integration of critical telecommunications infrastructure. This role encompasses all project phases, from initial concept development through to final commissioning, ensuring robust and compliant solutions for industrial and energy sector projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of telecom transmission and network systems, including SDH, DWDM, OTN, and fiber optic networks.
• Develop comprehensive engineering solutions across all project phases, from concept to commissioning.
• Prepare essential technical deliverables such as specifications, system architecture designs, calculations, and Bills of Materials (BoM).
• Design and integrate various telecom systems, including telephony (VoIP/PABX), SCADA, and LAN/WAN networks.
• Provide support for telecom infrastructure deployed in pipelines, industrial facilities, and monitoring systems.
• Offer technical leadership throughout project execution, including support during installation and commissioning phases.
• Coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, external vendors, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
• Ensure strict compliance with client-specific standards (*, Saudi Aramco) and relevant international telecom standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• A strong background in telecommunications engineering, with particular expertise in transmission systems.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in oil & gas or industrial communication projects is essential.
• Demonstrated familiarity with a wide range of telecom systems and design tools.
• Relevant certifications and professional registration are considered an advantage.
