Sr. Technical Professional Pipeline

About the Role

KBR Saudi Arabia is seeking a Sr. Technical Professional-Pipeline to join their team in Al Khobar, Eastern Region. This full-time role involves comprehensive responsibilities related to pipeline study, design, and specification, contributing to critical infrastructure projects.

Role Overview

The Sr. Technical Professional will be responsible for all conventional aspects of pipeline engineering, while also devising new approaches to complex problems. The role requires independent judgment in evaluating, selecting, and adapting engineering techniques and criteria. This position involves conventional engineering practice, but may include features such as conflicting design requirements, material suitability challenges, and difficult coordination needs. The professional will also provide technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers, with tasks indirectly impacting cost containment, efficiency, profitability, and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct studies, design, and specification for pipelines.
• Manage services related to pipelines, including route selection and layout.
• Oversee field surveys, material selection, coating systems, and cathodic protection.
• Implement leak detection systems, and design valve, terminal, and pump stations.
• Determine appropriate installation techniques.
• Lead a functional area on small projects or a segment of larger projects.
• Plan, budget, organize, coordinate, and control project activities.
• Conduct employee performance appraisals.
• Coach and develop lower-level professionals.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in pipeline engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to perform conventional aspects of the functional area.
• Proven capacity to devise new approaches to encountered problems.
• Experience in planning, scheduling, and conducting work requiring independent judgment.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, within the Eastern Region. The role operates under general supervision, requiring a professional capable of independent work while also providing technical guidance to team members.
