About alfanar and the Area Sales Manager Role
alfanar, headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is a diversified company with extensive operations in construction, manufacturing, design & development, and various facilities across the Middle East and other countries. alfanar Building Systems holds a Grade I contractor classification from the Saudi Government and specializes in manufacturing and marketing a comprehensive range of building construction products, including ceramic wall and floor tiles, façade cladding, precast concrete products, and interior décor items. We are seeking a dedicated full-time Area Sales Manager I EXA Ceramics to join our team in Dammam.
Role Overview
The Area Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing project execution and sales operations within a designated area. This role ensures the quality delivery of services, effective financial management, and the cultivation of strong customer relationships. The manager will coordinate project activities, analyze sales performance, and lead efforts to enhance customer satisfaction while promoting the company’s product range and maximizing the utilization of agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee planned actions related to quality of execution, contract deliveries, customer inspections, target deliveries, and invoicing commitments.
- Manage the effective conduct of Weekly Progress Meetings and project deliverables.
- Monitor and control budget margins, aiming to improve or maintain them, and analyze monthly sales performance against budget to take corrective actions.
- Manage the load and forecasting of future loads, coordinating with the Technical/Design department.
- Manage all necessary documents for project activity follow-up, including reports, invoicing planning, and management information.
- Ensure booked Sales Orders align with company policies and approve SAP entries and registrations.
- Assess tools, methods, and competencies, proposing necessary improvements and changes.
- Apply technical knowledge of alfanar's product range to promote products and their benefits against competitors.
- Resolve customer complaints related to sales and services, ensuring high customer satisfaction and a low number of complaints, and directly respond to after-sales service cases.
- Manage the status of all agreements monthly and maximize their utilization.
Leadership and Operational Management
- Recruit, recognize, and cultivate high performers to create a robust second line of management, and guide or release low performers based on planned results.
- Take full responsibility for operations as per the job description and deliverables, anticipating problems and taking proactive steps to prevent them.
- Deliver required results in a timely manner with specified quality and cost efficiency.
- Transform corporate goals into business plans, executing and monitoring annual or development plans, and initiating actions to strengthen results.
- Develop the organizational structure according to current and future requirements, ensuring job descriptions are available for all roles.
- Develop and coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, seeking automation opportunities and promoting the full utilization of automated systems.
- Act in accordance with quality as alfanar’s prime competitive advantage and adapt to new techniques, technologies, and business models.
- Ensure a safe, secure, and legal work environment as per standard regulations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Business Management.
- A minimum of 6 to 10 years of relevant work experience.
