Role Overview

DHL Global Forwarding is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its team in Dammam, Eastern Region, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position responsible for leading the finance function within the country, with a focus on operational finance activities. The CFO will contribute to the financial strategy and ensure financial transparency and health.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive financial strategy, managing the finance function as a line and budget manager.
• Contribute to the definition of the finance strategy for the country, encompassing controlling, accounting, planning, analysis, reporting, and budgeting, aligned with business strategy, financial policies, legal frameworks, and accounting standards.
• Lead, plan, organize, and deliver finance initiatives, services, and processes across multiple finance job families (*, RTR, PTP, and Controlling) to achieve financial transparency and maintain short and long-term financial health.
• Provide financial guidance and consulting to the senior business team, leveraging specialist colleagues as required.
• Ensure efficient financial service delivery, process improvement, and implementation of financial changes.
• Resolve complex financial issues, including adjustments for taxes, VAT, and varying local legal requirements.
• Maintain vendor/service relationships and service level agreements with specific business units or partners for various financial services.
• Develop and implement improvements in existing financial processes, systems, and methods to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
• Negotiate critical agreements and contracts with other departments and third parties.
• Develop strong, trusting relationships with senior business leaders across DHL and partner organizations.
• Influence stakeholders across DHL and externally as a recognized thought leader representing the Group.
• Lead multiple teams of executives, directors/senior managers, and managers.
• Ensure appropriate talent selection, organization, and leadership for key areas of the organization.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in finance.
• Demonstrated ability to craft comprehensive financial strategies and lead finance functions.
• Experience in managing operational finance activities within a country setting.
• Proficiency in financial management services, including controlling, accounting, planning, analysis, reporting, and budgeting.
• Strong understanding of financial policies, legal frameworks, and accounting standards.
• Experience in resolving complex financial issues and negotiating critical agreements.
