Role Context and Objectives

The Data Analyst Assistant will support Tech Pipeline in cleaning up internal processes for a regional industrial leader. This involves addressing situations where inventory and shipping data no longer match physical records. The primary objective is to identify the true source of truth and determine the exact reasons for data drift. Working remotely, the assistant will log into client systems to trace logs and pinpoint where manual errors or faulty integrations are impacting workflow efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Comparing log files from various software platforms to identify specific discrepancies in shipping records.
• Auditing recent transactions to determine instances where routing rules failed to trigger correctly within the supply chain.
• Updating standard operating procedures to reflect new, more efficient methods for managing data backlogs.
• Creating simple spreadsheets to illustrate to finance teams where manually entered data is causing reconciliation issues.
• Monitoring live systems during the initial weeks following a new fix to ensure the solution's effectiveness.
• Testing minor logic changes in staging environments before deployment to client operators.
• Documenting the precise steps required for a client team member to run a report independently.
• Tracing specific data points from their initial entry to their final destination in the database.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 0-1 years of professional experience in data analysis or a related field.
