About the Role

Baker Hughes is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist for Fixed Facilities to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Province. This full-time role requires 5-10 years of experience and is central to fostering a positive health and safety culture within the plant, focusing on controlling occupational risks.

Role Purpose and Impact

The specialist will implement and enforce occupational health and safety programs to prevent workplace accidents and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. This position involves advanced risk assessment, incident investigation, and the continuous cultivation of a safety-first culture across all operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing the packaging and assembly of gas turbines and compressors.
• Managing critical lifting and rigging operations.
• Conducting pressure testing on equipment and systems.
• Ensuring the application of process safety standards.
• Carrying out Bow-Tie risk assessments.
• Maintaining environmental compliance across all activities.
• Utilizing HSE software for reporting and documentation.
• Leading incident investigations as a certified investigator.
• Effectively managing contractors and subcontractors.
• Implementing safety programs and initiatives.
• Overseeing action assignment and tracking to closure.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Familiarity with Rig Aramco HSE Requirements.
• Background and mindset in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
• Ability to promote an HSE interdependent culture across various teams.
• Demonstrated interpersonal leadership skills in daily operations.
• Ability to act as a team player in collaborative environments.
