The Role of Financial Analyst

Matar Al-Baqami Holding is seeking a Financial Analyst to join its finance team in Dammam, Eastern Province. This full-time position is integral to supporting enterprise-wide financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.

Purpose of the Position

The Financial Analyst serves as the analytical backbone for the Group Finance team. This role ensures the integrity of financial models and provides quantitative evidence essential for strategic decision-making across the organization.

Key Accountabilities

• Act as a dedicated business partner to departmental heads, translating operational activities into financial outcomes.
• Collaborate with commercial and operations teams to challenge assumptions and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Provide front-line analysis on pricing strategies, margin performance, and market trends.
• Deliver monthly performance reports that explain the commercial narrative behind budget variances.
• Monitor cross-functional Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure alignment with long-term Group strategy.
• Partner with stakeholders to develop data-backed remedial actions for identified performance gaps.

Financial Planning and Reporting

• Support the execution of annual budgets and long-range plans.
• Develop agile financial models to evaluate business cases, product launches, or capital investments (CapEx).
• Maintain integrated forecasting models that reflect current market conditions.
• Drive the adoption of Business Intelligence (BI) tools for real-time visibility into financial performance.
• Standardize reporting protocols to ensure a single version of the truth across all business units.
• Ensure financial modeling adheres to internal governance and accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP).

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess 2 to 5 years of experience in a financial analyst role or a closely related field. This experience should demonstrate a strong capability in financial planning, analysis, and comprehensive reporting.
