Inventory Analyst

About the Role

H. M. Al Rugaib & Sons Trading is seeking an Inventory Analyst to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This full-time role is crucial for maintaining stock accuracy, optimizing inventory levels, and supporting warehouse and supply chain operations through detailed analysis and reporting.

Job Purpose

The Inventory Analyst will be responsible for analyzing inventory data to ensure precise stock accuracy and optimal inventory levels. This involves supporting warehouse and supply chain functions through comprehensive reporting, root-cause investigation of discrepancies, and continuous process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory performance using ERP/WMS reports, focusing on stock availability, movements, shortages, and excess/slow-moving items.
• Perform detailed inventory analysis and investigate variances between system records and physical stock, including GR/PO receipts, transfers, and adjustments.
• Support cycle counting and physical inventory activities, track findings, and ensure the resolution of discrepancies.
• Prepare and distribute various inventory reports, such as aging reports, stock status updates, discrepancy reports, and KPI dashboards.
• Collaborate with Warehouse, Procurement, Planning, and Logistics teams to maintain data accuracy and resolve inventory-related issues.
• Ensure correct item master, bin, and location setup, and support necessary updates.
• Assist in forecasting and replenishment planning by providing reliable inventory insights.
• Support WMS process compliance and contribute to improving inventory workflows and controls.
• Maintain thorough documentation related to inventory transactions, analyses, and actions taken.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 0-1 years of experience is required, with 1-3 years in inventory control, warehouse analytics, or ERP/WMS reporting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of inventory concepts, including stock accuracy, cycle counting, variance analysis, and inventory aging.
• Proficiency with ERP/WMS tools and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, reporting).
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and the ability to meet reporting deadlines.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with multiple teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Dynamics or similar ERP systems.
• Familiarity with WMS operations and inventory control procedures.
• Basic knowledge of inventory KPIs (fill rate, shrinkage/adjustments, accuracy %).
