About the Role

ALPLA PLASTICS MIDDLE EAST SAUDI INDUSTRIAL LTD CO. is seeking a Procurement Supervisor to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Province. This full-time role involves overseeing procurement activities to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment while maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Procure materials, parts, supplies, and equipment efficiently and cost-effectively, adhering to quality standards and specifications.
• Identify and evaluate vendors for materials, equipment, or supplies, assessing product availability and terms of sale.
• Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers.
• Collaborate with the accounts payable department to ensure timely supplier payments.
• Report on aged payments and follow up to resolve outstanding cases.
• Report department KPIs and analyze deviations from targets.
• Follow up on action plans for all audits and close open items promptly.
• Engage professionally with auditors.
• Develop favorable payment terms with suppliers to reduce cash purchases.
• Update the price matrix monthly.
• Ensure supplier records are current and accurate.
• Generate supplier evaluation reports and maintain proper records.
• Highlight potential risks of price increases or material shortages due to supplier issues.
• Implement procurement strategy and policies.
• Ensure all purchase orders comply with company policy.
• Maintain a minimum of three suppliers for every item critical to customer supply.
• Resolve discrepancies or issues related to product quality, delivery, or service.
• Conduct annual supplier evaluations.
• Report all cost savings and actively seek new saving opportunities.
• Maintain tracking records for all Purchase Orders (POs) and update Order Management (OMs) regularly.
• Implement a system to track goods and services POs to ensure on-time delivery.
• Resolve vendor or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers.

Additional Contributions

• Analyze historical data and forecasts to initiate and promote cost reduction programs.
• Participate in developing specifications for equipment, products, or substitute materials.
• Identify and develop training opportunities within the department.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of relevant experience in procurement.
