Job Description
About the Role
PIPECARE Group is seeking an experienced Purchase Officer to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Province. With over 20 years of experience in ensuring the integrity of pipeline and facility assets, PIPECARE Group offers a full-time opportunity for a dedicated professional.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of purchasing, including handling procurement and petty cash transactions.
- Oversee stores material receiving and submit Goods Received Notes (GRN) to accounts.
- Create purchase requisitions, item codes, and purchase orders.
- Send Requests for Quotation (RFQ), collect quotes, and prepare price comparisons for account approval.
- Negotiate with suppliers regarding delivery times, discounts, and payment terms.
- Follow up on deliveries with suppliers and manage pre-payment requests.
- Reconcile MTC/DO/Invoices for QC/Accounts purposes.
- Search for new suppliers, manage supplier registration and approval with QC, and request supplier creation from accounts.
- Maintain an updated list of approved suppliers.
- File all purchase orders with quotes for audit purposes.
- Attend purchasing-related audits and meetings with suppliers.
- Handle transportation requests from the logistics department for deliveries and material exit.
- Provide feedback to the approval person regarding any concerns with LPOs, such as price discrepancies or payment terms.
- Follow up with accounts on approvals and payments.
- Create work orders as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Supply Chain.
- 2-5 years of experience in a similar purchasing role.
- Experience in international purchasing.
- Experience and good knowledge of the market, including customers, systems, and providers.
- Knowledge of English language.
- Knowledge of ERP systems.
- Previous experience in Manufacturing, FMCG, or Automotive industries is preferable.
Physical and Mental Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to walk and climb to perform duties, including maneuvering within a refinery or plant environment and accessing elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.
- Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing, or other communication capabilities, to communicate effectively.
- Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively.
- Must be able to wear safety equipment as required.
- Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform office duties and travel to off-site locations when necessary.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position based in Dammam, Eastern Province. The role may involve working in environments requiring adherence to safety protocols and physical mobility within plant or refinery settings.
