Job Description

About the Role

HUDSON is seeking a QC Engineer for a full-time position in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. This role involves leading QA/QC inspections for critical equipment within Oil & Gas or petrochemical projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards and client specifications. The position is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead QA/QC inspections for pressure vessels, tanks, and heat exchangers.
  • Ensure compliance with ASME, API, and Aramco standards throughout projects.
  • Review and approve Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQRs), and welder qualifications.
  • Monitor Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities and personnel.
  • Manage outsourced fabrication and inspection processes, coordinating with vendors and third-party inspectors.
  • Prepare Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), comprehensive inspection reports, and final quality dossiers.
  • Interface with clients regarding hold/witness points, Data Completion List (DCL) submissions, and testing procedures.
  • Handle Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), implement corrective actions, provide technical clarifications, and drive continuous quality improvements.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 0-1 years of experience in QA/QC inspections, preferably in Oil & Gas or petrochemical projects.
  • Certified CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) or CSWIP (Certification Scheme for Welding Inspection Personnel).
  • ASNT Level II certification in NDT methods (UT, PT, MT, RT, VT).

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in ASME, API, AWS, and other relevant fabrication and inspection codes.
  • Strong understanding of quality control processes and documentation.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and clients.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in a workshop environment in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, focusing on projects within the Oil & Gas and petrochemical sectors.
