Quality Health Safety and Environment Manager

About the Role

Abunayyan Holding is seeking an experienced Quality Health Safety and Environment Manager to join Advanced Biocatalytics Industries (ABCI), one of its subsidiaries. This full-time position is based in Dammam, Eastern Region, and involves leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company’s Quality, Health, Safety & Environment Management Systems, ensuring a safe and compliant manufacturing environment.

ABCI is a chemical manufacturing company located in Dammam’s 2nd Industrial City, Saudi Arabia. It specializes in locally manufacturing high-quality specialty chemicals with an annual production capacity of 35,000 metric tons. ABCI serves industries including oil & gas, industrial cleaning, and home & personal care, supported by a state-of-the-art R&D center and advanced chemistry lab to deliver innovative, technology-driven solutions focused on efficiency, performance, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, update, issue, and maintain the HSE program, ensuring it is communicated and implemented effectively.
• Ensure employees receive proper safety training and are aware of workplace hazards.
• Conduct HSE awareness sessions for all employees and perform inspections of work sites to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Inform workers of potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate risks.
• Lead accident investigations, follow up on corrective actions, and prepare reports detailing findings to prevent recurrence.
• Consult with management to develop safety policies and procedures, and prepare reports on workplace safety conditions.
• Monitor compliance with safety regulations and provide training on safe work practices.
• Record injuries or illnesses to identify potential hazards or patterns of unsafe behavior.
• Ensure all safety contracts are updated and safety systems are maintained, reporting monthly HSE performance to management.
• Prepare the company for necessary certifications upon management approval.
• Develop Quality Manuals for the Integrated Management System (IMS) and ensure company registration and renewal for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
• Act as a guide for external ISO auditors and conduct internal Quality Management System (QMS) audits.
• Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for non-compliance and ensure their close-out, preparing internal audit reports.
• Ensure the generation of Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA) with the technical department and conduct Environmental Audits for ISO 14001:2015.
• Develop departmental work processes and recommend continuous process improvements, coordinating with IT (SAP) for automation.
• Develop and maintain the company’s Balanced Scorecard with updated milestones in SAP, and ensure the calculation of the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
• Ensure urgent resolution of client complaints with 8D reports and monitor customer satisfaction through surveys.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of 7 to 9 years of experience in the QHSE field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering; Master’s in Business (or equivalent) is preferred.
• Certified Internal Auditor for ISO 9001.
• Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001.

Experience Required

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment management.
