Job Summary: Senior Accountant

Nova Water is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This full-time role involves overseeing and executing branch accounting operations, ensuring accurate management of accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger activities, inventory reconciliations, cash management, and financial reporting. The Senior Accountant will maintain strong financial controls, ensure timely collections and vendor payments, support month-end and year-end closing activities, and ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. The role also provides financial insights to support operational and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Receivable, including recording customer collections, monitoring aging reports, following up on overdue balances, and ensuring timely allocation of payments.
• Oversee the end-to-end Accounts Payable process, including invoice verification, coding, posting in SAP, and payment processing, while reconciling vendor statements.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, manage General Ledger accounts through accurate journal entries and reconciliations, and perform monthly bank reconciliations.
• Execute month-end and year-end closing activities within reporting deadlines and reconcile subsidiary ledgers with General Ledger balances.
• Conduct periodic inventory counts, reconcile inventory variances, support stock-taking exercises, and maintain the Fixed Asset Register.
• Manage petty cash funds, review employee expense claims, and monitor branch cash balances.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, ZATCA, company policies, and accounting procedures, and support internal and external audit activities.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes, analyze budget variances, and provide financial insights to improve branch profitability.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in accounting roles.
• Demonstrated experience in managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in financial software, preferably SAP.
• Strong understanding of accounting standards, financial controls, and regulatory requirements.
