Senior Chiller Technician

About the Role

Carrier is seeking a Senior Chiller Technician to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This full-time role involves performing maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of HVAC and chiller systems. The successful candidate will ensure reliable equipment performance, high-quality service delivery, and compliance with company procedures, manufacturer guidelines, and Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) requirements.

Role Overview

This position requires strong technical expertise in chiller systems, effective communication with customers, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to deliver excellent service. The Senior Chiller Technician is expected to maintain high standards of safety, quality, and professionalism in all assigned duties, including identifying and mitigating work-related hazards and complying with Carrier policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of chillers and associated HVAC equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
• Inspect air-conditioning and chiller systems, diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain, adjust, and repair electrical and electronic control systems, motors, pumps, blowers, coils, belts, and other equipment components.
• Repair or replace damaged parts to ensure efficient and reliable equipment operation.
• Conduct site inspections and prepare technical reports covering site conditions, scope of work, findings, and recommendations.
• Estimate labor hours, materials, and tools required for assigned jobs.
• Complete job cards, job completion certificates, daily timesheets, maintenance records, and EH&S site survey documentation accurately and on time.
• Communicate with customers regarding work progress, outstanding issues, and recommended actions.
• Complete assigned tasks within agreed timelines while maintaining service quality, customer satisfaction, and a clean worksite.
• Identify potential safety risks and implement appropriate control measures.
• Safely rig and set up gantries and lifting equipment for handling heavy machinery.
• Manage and maintain tools and equipment, including collection, delivery, proper use, and inventory control.
• Follow company processes, quality management standards, EH&S procedures, and applicable manufacturer requirements.
• Escalate technical issues, safety concerns, and resource requirements to the Supervisor or Manager as needed.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues and other teams to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Attend technical training sessions, EH&S meetings, and other assigned training programs.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in HVAC and chiller systems maintenance and repair.
• Demonstrated technical expertise in chiller systems.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults accurately.
• Proficiency in maintaining and repairing electrical and electronic control systems and various equipment components.
• Strong understanding of manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
• Commitment to Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) requirements.
