Senior Technical Support Engineer (Compression)

About the Role

Siemens Energy is seeking a Senior Technical Support Engineer (Compression) to join their team in Dammam, Eastern region. This full-time role involves serving as a primary technical expert for key clients in the Middle East, focusing on compression-related matters. The position requires over 10 years of experience in the field.

Role Impact and Context

The Senior Technical Support Engineer will lead root cause investigations for major clients such as Aramco and ADNOC. This role is central to transferring critical field knowledge across cross-functional teams and mentoring junior engineers on maintenance best practices. The work directly contributes to maintaining the reliability of critical compression assets across the region, strengthening Siemens Energy's reputation, and supporting the broader mission of decarbonizing industrial processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the technical client relationship for major Middle East accounts, acting as the primary point of contact and technical advisor for all compression-related issues.
• Lead complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis for compressors and ancillary systems, utilizing structured methodologies such as FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis, Kepner-Tregoe, and 5 Whys to resolve high-impact client problems.
• Coordinate cross-functional and cross-regional teams of internal and external technical experts to ensure efficient information flow between client sites, Product Integrity, and Core Technology teams.
• Collaborate with Sales, Bid Management, and Service teams as the regional subject matter expert, providing technical input for proposals, service strategy, and client-facing decisions.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including service reports, maintenance logs, method statements, and equipment records, to ensure traceability and continuity across engagements.
• Train junior field service engineers and client personnel on routine maintenance and troubleshooting practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in technical support for compression systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Experience in coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in technical documentation and reporting.
