Role Overview: Hot Gas Path Repair Engineer

As a Hot Gas Path Repair Engineer within the Dammam Production team, the role focuses on supporting the growth of the Hot Gas Path Repair (HGPR) facility. The position is designed to build strong technical expertise in gas turbine component repair engineering, establishing a solid technical foundation for future engineering specialists and leaders at Siemens Energy. This role contributes to the company's mission of energizing society and supporting the transition to a more sustainable future.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities for this role include:

  • Assisting senior engineers in developing, documenting, and qualifying repair procedures for hot gas path components such as turbine blades and vanes.
  • Supporting the technical evaluation of incoming components to determine the appropriate repair scope.
  • Applying engineering fundamentals to repair technologies including welding, brazing, coating, and machining under supervision.
  • Collaborating with workshop technicians to support repair execution and troubleshoot technical challenges.
  • Preparing and maintaining technical documentation, including work instructions, process specifications, and repair reports.
  • Participating in root cause analysis investigations and supporting corrective action implementation.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and cost optimization.
  • Supporting data collection and analysis related to repair process performance indicators.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess:

  • A Master's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Up to 3 years of relevant experience, ideally gained through internships, graduate programs, or early-career roles.
  • A minimum of 3 months of international exposure through study or work experience.
  • A strong theoretical understanding of engineering and manufacturing fundamentals.
  • High learning agility and the ability to adapt in a practical workshop-oriented environment.
  • An interest in developing into a future Subject Matter Expert (SME) or technical leader.
