Sofa Factory Supervisor

About the Role

H. M. Al Rugaib & Sons Trading is seeking a Sofa Factory Supervisor to oversee daily production activities in Dammam, Eastern Region. This full-time role involves supervising workers and monitoring production lines to ensure sofas and upholstered furniture meet required quality standards and delivery schedules. The supervisor acts as a key link between factory management and workshop employees, ensuring efficient workflow and proper resource utilization.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor all stages of sofa manufacturing, including wooden frame construction, foam cutting and preparation, fabric cutting, sewing, upholstery, and final assembly.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet approved specifications and quality standards, identifying defects in upholstery, stitching, dimensions, and finishing.
• Assign daily tasks to technicians, carpenters, sewing operators, and upholsterers, monitoring attendance and productivity.
• Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure the availability of raw materials such as wood, fabrics, leather, and foam, preventing production delays.
• Ensure proper maintenance and safe operation of production equipment, including industrial cutting machines, sewing machines, and pneumatic staplers.
• Track daily production targets, identify operational issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize delays and improve productivity.
• Communicate production requirements to workers and report progress, quality issues, and operational challenges to factory management.

Qualifications and Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in furniture manufacturing, sofa production, or large upholstery workshops.
• A technical background in upholstery or fabric cutting is preferred.
• Previous experience supervising a sofa or upholstered furniture production line is preferred.

Required Skills

• Ability to supervise, motivate, and manage production workers effectively.
• Good understanding of sofa manufacturing processes, upholstery techniques, sewing, foam cutting, and wooden frame construction.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and sofa designs, including dimensions, fabric specifications, and material layouts.
• Ability to identify and resolve production issues quickly while maintaining quality and productivity.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with factory management, warehouse personnel, and production teams.
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and proper equipment handling.
• Knowledge of production planning, material utilization, and quality control procedures is preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines is preferred.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, requiring on-site supervision of factory production lines and direct interaction with manufacturing teams.
