About the Role

Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare (JHAH) is seeking an Associate Cath Lab Technologist to join their specialized medical team in Dhahran. This is a full-time position designed for professionals with 0-1 years of experience in a relevant clinical setting.

Role Summary

The Associate Cath Lab Technologist is responsible for providing direct support to interventional cardiologists during a range of diagnostic and interventional procedures. This role involves the proficient use of advanced fluoroscopy equipment to assist physicians in the accurate diagnosis of heart conditions in patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain fluoroscopy and hemodynamic equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform physiological assessments and utilize advanced imaging modalities such as FFR, IFR, IVUS, and OCT.
  • Scrub and circulate during diagnostic and coronary intervention procedures, electrophysiology studies, and structural heart procedures.
  • Interrogate implantable devices, including Pacemakers (PPM), Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillators (ICD), and Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy Defibrillators (CRT-D), and adjust device parameters as indicated by clinical need.
  • Operate mechanical support devices such as Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps (IABP) and Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO).
  • Contribute to maintaining organizational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring quality control, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the Cath Lab.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 0-1 years of experience in a cath lab or a related interventional cardiology setting is required.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

  • Proficiency in the operation and maintenance of fluoroscopy and hemodynamic equipment.
  • Ability to perform physiological assessments and apply various imaging modalities.
  • A solid understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
  • Competence in interrogating and adjusting parameters for implantable cardiac devices.
  • Skill in operating mechanical circulatory support devices.
