About the Role

Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare (JHAH) is seeking an Associate Emergency Management and Continuity Advisor to join our team in Dhahran. This full-time role is central to coordinating disaster management initiatives across various levels of the organization and its partners, requiring 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Role Context and Impact

The Associate Emergency Management and Continuity Advisor is responsible for coordinating disaster management initiatives at both the Joint Venture (JV) and Corporate levels. These initiatives serve the JHAH enterprise, Saudi ARAMCO, affiliated private contractors, designated medical facilities (MDFs), Saudi ARAMCO third-party healthcare providers, and government agencies upon approved requests. The primary objective is to establish and maintain seamless processes to ensure preparedness and response capabilities during catastrophes or disasters.

Emergency Management and Continuity (EMAC) is a critical component of JHAH's accreditation, ensuring compliance with national governance bodies such as the Ministry of Health (MOH), Saudi Commission of Health Specialties (SCHS), and Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI). The role also supports alignment with international standards from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Joint Commission International (JCI).

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with business unit activities to meet Saudi Aramco's strategic Top Corporate Risk (TCR) guidelines, as governed by Saudi Aramco Loss Prevention and Corporate Policy 40 Resilience.
  • Support initiatives within key business units to fulfill JV level requirements for JHAH's role as the primary Medical Disaster Responder for Saudi Aramco kingdomwide.
  • Contribute to business unit level efforts that align with the JHAH Program 002 Emergency Management protocol.
  • Coordinate components of backbone staff and resilient-ready structures with HR and other stakeholders, under the direction of senior personnel.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 3 years of experience in emergency management, business continuity, or a related field, preferably within a healthcare or large enterprise environment. A strong understanding of disaster management principles and compliance standards is expected.

Work Environment and Scope

This is a full-time position based in Dhahran, where the Associate EMBC Advisor will operate within a dynamic environment, collaborating with various internal departments and external agencies to enhance JHAH's emergency preparedness and response capabilities across a wide operational scope.
