Join Our Team as a Cost Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cost Engineer to join our team in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia within the Oil and Gas industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analysing project costs, preparing budget estimates, and monitoring project expenses to ensure cost efficiency and adherence to budgetary constraints. The Cost Engineer will play a crucial role in optimizing project costs and maximizing profitability.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyse project costs and prepare accurate budget estimates for various phases of the project.
  • Monitor and control project expenses to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to identify cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations for cost optimization.
  • Prepare and present cost reports, forecasts, and variance analysis to management and project teams.
  • Utilize cost management tools and software to track, analyse, and report project costs.
  • Conduct cost risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential cost overruns.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide cost-related insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Maintain documentation and records of all cost-related activities and reports for audit and reference purposes.

Key Requirements:
  • At least a 4 year degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience in project management within the Oil and Gas industry, with a strong understanding of engineering principles and practices.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and software, as well as relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a strong commitment to quality and safety.
