About the Role

RiDiK is seeking a skilled Gen AI Data Scientist to join its team in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves developing and deploying advanced machine learning and deep learning models for applications including time series forecasting, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and sensor/IoT data analysis. The role is key to advancing the company's artificial intelligence and data-driven capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy machine learning and deep learning models for time series forecasting, NLP, and sensor/IoT data analysis.
• Fine-tune and deploy state-of-the-art (SOTA) models, including Large Language Models (LLMs), using frameworks like HuggingFace and techniques such as LoRA, Q-LoRA, and full model fine-tuning.
• Implement and evaluate bagging and boosting models, including XGBoost, LightGBM, and CatBoost, for structured and sensor data.
• Design and optimize neural network architectures, including CNNs, RNNs, Transformers, and attention-based models, using PyTorch.
• Build and rigorously evaluate model performance using appropriate metrics and robust validation strategies.
• Work extensively with smart sensor data and IoT systems, focusing on feature extraction and building predictive models for anomaly detection, failure prediction, and system optimization.
• Develop and expose model inference capabilities as REST APIs, leveraging frameworks like FastAPI.
• Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to operationalize models using Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms.
• Maintain and continuously improve data pipelines, feature engineering processes, and model monitoring systems in production environments.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 2-5 years of professional experience in data science or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying machine learning and deep learning models.
• Proficiency in working with time series data, NLP, and sensor/IoT data.
• Experience with fine-tuning and deploying LLMs.
• Familiarity with model evaluation techniques and performance metrics.
• Experience in building and deploying models as REST APIs.
• Understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD practices for model deployment.
• Experience with cloud platforms for data science workloads.
• Ability to maintain and improve data pipelines and model monitoring in production.
