Cost Control Engineer

About the Role

Outdoor Factory MEA is seeking a Cost Control Engineer to join their team in Jizan, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is essential for managing the financial aspects of a new family entertainment center project, from initial development through to opening day. The successful candidate will ensure financial precision and contribute to the project's overall success.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the project budget and cost breakdown structure.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, cash flow projections, and forecasts.
• Compare actual costs against budget, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Track subcontractor and supplier payment certificates, purchase orders, and contract costs.
• Link quantities and progress data to cost, and conduct Earned Value Management (EVM) analyses.
• Assess the cost impact of variation and change orders.
• Collaborate with the planning team to integrate time and cost data.
• Provide clear and confident reporting to senior management and clients.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• 8 years of cost control or project controls experience on site-based projects.
• Experience in family entertainment centers, malls, theme parks, tourism/leisure facilities, or other large-scale building projects. International experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Advanced MS Excel skills; proficiency in Power BI or similar reporting tools is a plus.
• Strong command of EVM, cash flow, and forecasting principles.
• Solid understanding of FIDIC and contract management.
• Good English language skills; Arabic is an advantage.
• Previous experience in Saudi Arabia is a plus.

Work Environment

This role is based in Jizan, Saudi Arabia, and involves working on-site for the development of a family entertainment center. The position is full-time, requiring a commitment to managing project finances from inception to completion.
