BM Supervisor

Saudi Company for Hardware - SACO is seeking a dedicated and experienced BM Supervisor to join its team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is critical for overseeing and optimizing building maintenance and new project operations across the region, ensuring SACO's facilities meet high standards for customers and staff.

Role Purpose and Oversight

The BM Supervisor is responsible for the comprehensive supervision, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of new projects and building maintenance operations throughout the assigned region. This position ensures the proper upkeep of SACO premises and facilities, fostering an optimal environment for both customers and staff, while maintaining cost-effectiveness, timeliness, and reliability in all operations.

Key Responsibilities in Building Maintenance

  • Supervise, coordinate, implement, and monitor region-wide building maintenance operations to ensure proper upkeep of SACO stores and facilities.
  • Coordinate with SACO store and premises managers, scheduling regular visits to assess preventive and corrective maintenance needs.
  • Respond promptly to regular building maintenance requests and resolve emergency maintenance issues within the region.
  • Organize, schedule, and dispatch building maintenance teams to fulfill maintenance requests and assigned tasks.
  • Coordinate with manufacturer service companies for equipment such as elevators and escalators, arranging breakdowns, repairs, and periodic maintenance, and verifying work completion.

New Projects and Vendor Management

  • Participate in and support the preparation of scope of works and cost studies for new projects in the assigned region.
  • Supervise, coordinate, follow up, monitor, and report on new project construction in coordination with project consultants and contractors, as directed by the Engineering Manager.
  • Search, evaluate, and recommend qualified contractors and suppliers to the Engineering Manager for building construction, maintenance work, and material supply in the region.

Administrative and Financial Oversight

  • Prepare CAPEX/OPEX requests, payment requests, petty cash expenses, travel expenses, overtime payments, and all other documentary approvals for the region, ensuring adherence to standard procedures and company policies.
  • Manage petty cash for regional maintenance expenses, ensuring proper spending and reporting in accordance with company policies.
  • Review and confirm, or provide remarks on, the monthly timesheets of Engineering staff within the region.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and year-end reports detailing staff evaluation, expenses, and accomplishments of the Engineering Department in the region, and participate in scheduled meetings.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in supervising building maintenance and new project operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven track record in managing facilities and coordinating projects effectively within a retail or similar multi-site environment.
