Job Title: Business Development Engineer – Construction

Location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Industry: Construction / General Contracting / MEP / Fit-Out

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Engineer to support the growth of our construction business in Jeddah. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new project opportunities, building strong relationships with consultants, developers, and clients, and securing tender invitations and contracts in the construction sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and develop new business opportunities in the construction market (MEP, finishing, civil works, commercial and residential projects)

Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, developers, project managers, and main contractors

Follow up on project leads, tenders, and RFQs from initiation to award stage

Attend meetings, site visits, and industry events to promote company services

Coordinate with technical and estimation teams to prepare proposals and quotations

Track market trends, upcoming projects, and competitor activities in the region

Support prequalification processes with clients and government/private entities

Achieve monthly and annual business development targets and revenue goals

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field

3–7 years of experience in business development or sales within the construction industry in Saudi Arabia

Strong network within consultants, developers, and contractors in Jeddah/KSA market

Proven track record of winning construction projects or generating leads

Strong understanding of tendering, bidding, and construction project cycles

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet targets

Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus)

Preferred Skills:

Experience in MEP, fit-out, or general contracting companies

Existing relationships with consultants and project owners in Jeddah

Knowledge of Saudi construction market and regulations

Driving license in Saudi Arabia (preferred)

Compensation:

Competitive salary based on experience

Commission / bonus on secured projects
