Job Description

About the Role

Shangri-La Hotel in Jeddah is seeking an Assistant IT Manager to oversee the effective operation of its Information Technology Department. This full-time position requires a professional with 2-5 years of experience in IT management or a related senior technical role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the IT department and collaborate with the IT Manager.
  • Ensure the continuous operation of critical application systems, including Opera PMS, Infrasys POS, Call Accounting System, Check EAM, and Messaging System, as well as all hardware.
  • Address and resolve user-reported IT issues related to both hardware and application systems.
  • Implement and maintain standard IT operating procedures, including checklists and new requirements, on a daily basis.
  • Develop and enhance application systems to support departmental and hotel objectives.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for IT improvement, providing feedback and recommendations to management.
  • Uphold and promote Shangri-La Hospitality's Guiding Principles and Core Values.
  • Adhere to environmental best practices, including waste reduction, recycling, and reuse.
  • Ensure compliance with all Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, policies, procedures, guidelines, rules, and regulations, including those set by local and national governments.
  • Apply CSR principles to all job-related decisions and activities to achieve the hotel's CSR goals.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a senior analyst/programmer in a large organization.
  • A degree in Computer Science.
  • Fluency in both English and Arabic.

  • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
