About the Role
Shangri-La Hotel in Jeddah is seeking an Assistant IT Manager to oversee the effective operation of its Information Technology Department. This full-time position requires a professional with 2-5 years of experience in IT management or a related senior technical role.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the IT department and collaborate with the IT Manager.
- Ensure the continuous operation of critical application systems, including Opera PMS, Infrasys POS, Call Accounting System, Check EAM, and Messaging System, as well as all hardware.
- Address and resolve user-reported IT issues related to both hardware and application systems.
- Implement and maintain standard IT operating procedures, including checklists and new requirements, on a daily basis.
- Develop and enhance application systems to support departmental and hotel objectives.
- Proactively identify opportunities for IT improvement, providing feedback and recommendations to management.
- Uphold and promote Shangri-La Hospitality's Guiding Principles and Core Values.
- Adhere to environmental best practices, including waste reduction, recycling, and reuse.
- Ensure compliance with all Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, policies, procedures, guidelines, rules, and regulations, including those set by local and national governments.
- Apply CSR principles to all job-related decisions and activities to achieve the hotel's CSR goals.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a senior analyst/programmer in a large organization.
- A degree in Computer Science.
- Fluency in both English and Arabic.
Required Skills
- Strong leadership capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position based in Jeddah. The role involves working within the Shangri-La Hotel, requiring adherence to hospitality standards and a commitment to departmental and hotel objectives.
