The Role of Housekeeping Supervisor

Shangri-La Hotel in Jeddah is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor for a full-time position. This role requires 2-5 years of experience. The Housekeeping Supervisor operates under the direct supervision of the Executive Housekeeper and SM-Housekeeping. The primary responsibility is to assist in directing and controlling all housekeeping activities, ensuring that assigned areas maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and physical aesthetics according to established standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and note items requiring repair and follow-up.
• Submit recommendations for painting, repair, furnishing, and relocation of equipment and space to the Executive Housekeeper for consideration.
• Coordinate with Engineering on needed repairs/maintenance work and follow up on outstanding work orders.
• Follow up and re-check areas not attended to within acceptable timeframes.
• Ensure all equipment and areas are cleaned.
• Ensure compliance with grooming standards as documented in the Employee Handbook.
• Assist in housekeeping coordination functions, such as communication, as needed and when task volume permits.
• Draft or assist in drafting the housekeeping duty roster by providing information on peak periods up to three days in advance to serve as a guide, ensuring information is updated daily.
