Supervisor Housekeeping

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Supervisor-Housekeeping for Delta Hotels by Marriott in Jeddah. This full-time role is integral to maintaining exceptional quality standards across all guest rooms and public areas. The position focuses on delivering purposeful service and attention to detail, contributing to a seamless travel experience for guests who value essential needs and a controlled, professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and the pool after cleaning to ensure all quality standards are consistently met.
• Run sold room reports, verify room statuses, identify discrepant rooms, prioritize cleaning schedules, and update the status of departing guest rooms.
• Assist Housekeeping management in overseeing daily activities and coordinating efforts between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry departments.
• Document and resolve issues related to discrepant rooms in collaboration with the Front Desk team.
• Prepare, distribute, and communicate any changes in room assignments to the housekeeping staff.
• Effectively communicate all relevant issues and updates to the next shift.
• Accurately complete all required administrative paperwork and reports.
• Support management with various employee-related tasks, including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching staff.

• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
• Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional at all times.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to established company standards.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs, providing assistance to individuals with disabilities as required.
• Thank guests with genuine appreciation and communicate using clear, professional language.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, listening and responding appropriately to their concerns.
• Ensure consistent adherence to quality expectations and standards across all operational areas.

Required Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or * equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a related field.
• Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• License or Certification: None required.

Physical Demands

• Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 55 pounds without assistance, and in excess of 55 pounds with assistance.
• Capability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related machinery over sloping and uneven surfaces.
• Capacity to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Ability to stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods across an entire work shift.
• Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Competence in entering and locating work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems.
• Ability to read and visually verify information in a variety of formats, including small print.
