About the Role

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Supervisor Housekeeping to join their team in Makkah. This full-time role involves overseeing the quality of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring adherence to established standards. The Supervisor will play a key role in coordinating daily housekeeping operations and supporting management activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and facilities (*, pool) after cleaning to ensure quality standards are met.
• Manage sold room reports, verify room status, identify discrepancies, prioritize cleaning schedules, and update the status of departing guest rooms.
• Coordinate efforts between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry departments.
• Document and resolve issues related to discrepant rooms with the Front Desk.
• Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes in room assignments to staff.
• Communicate relevant issues and updates to the next shift.
• Complete all required administrative paperwork accurately.

Operational Support and Team Leadership

• Assist Housekeeping management with daily operational activities.
• Support management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees.
• Ensure adherence to all company safety and security policies and procedures.
• Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly.
• Complete all mandatory safety training and certifications.
• Ensure staff maintain clean and professional uniforms and personal appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.

Guest Services and Professional Conduct

• Welcome and acknowledge all guests in accordance with company standards.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs, including assisting individuals with disabilities.
• Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with guests and colleagues.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members.
• Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.

Physical Requirements and Qualifications

• Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 55 pounds without assistance, and in excess of 55 pounds with assistance.
• Capable of pushing and pulling a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related machinery over various surfaces.
• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Capable of standing, sitting, kneeling, or walking for extended periods throughout a work shift.
• Ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Proficiency in entering and locating work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems.
• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats, including small print.
• A minimum of 0-1 year of relevant experience is required for this role.

The Supervisor Housekeeping will perform other reasonable job duties as requested by their Supervisors, contributing to the overall efficiency and guest satisfaction at Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts in Makkah.
