Position Overview: Carpenter

Delta Hotels and Resorts is seeking a Carpenter to join our team in Jeddah. This full-time role involves building, installing, and repairing various structures and finishes throughout the property. The successful candidate will ensure all work is performed safely and to company standards, while also contributing to excellent service for guests.

Core Responsibilities

• Construct, install, and repair walls and partitions, including drywall, wallpaper, millwork/molding, and faux finishing.
• Install and repair various finishes, such as laminates.
• Perform rough-in framing for doors, frames, windows, and cabinetry.
• Repair, maintain, and construct wood structures including partitions, doors, furniture, and similar items.
• Execute miscellaneous minor repairs, such as tightening loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and patching wall holes.
• Order necessary items by completing requisitions, obtaining manager approval, and utilizing appropriate vendors.
• Load, transport, and unload freight from the elevator to designated areas using a hand truck.

Operational Standards and Guest Interaction

• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
• Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Ensure confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues and guests.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities.
• Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Capacity to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Capability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Ability to move up and down a ladder safely.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: High school diploma or *** equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a related field.
• Supervisory Experience: Not required for this position.
• License or Certification: None required.
