About the Cybersecurity Manager Role

Cyber سايبر is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Manager to oversee and enhance its security operations. This full-time position, based in Makkah and Jeddah, requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience in cybersecurity. The role demands a strategic leader with strong technical acumen to manage comprehensive security programs and ensure robust protection against evolving cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities

The Cybersecurity Manager will lead and manage all aspects of cybersecurity operations, including Security Operations Center (SOC) functions, incident response, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management. This includes the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of information security frameworks, policies, and procedures. The role involves overseeing risk assessments, penetration testing, and security assessments, ensuring timely remediation of identified issues. A critical part of the role is managing and responding to cyber incidents, conducting investigations, root cause analysis, and preparing post-incident reports. The manager will also ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and industry standards, such as NCA, ISO 27001, NIST, SAMA, and PCI-DSS. Collaboration with internal teams and clients to align cybersecurity strategies with business objectives is essential. Furthermore, the manager will lead, mentor, and develop cybersecurity personnel, and evaluate, implement, and manage security tools and technologies including SIEM, SOAR, EDR, DLP, and IAM. Preparing executive-level security reports, dashboards, and risk summaries, and staying current with emerging threats and cybersecurity trends are also key duties.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must possess 5-12 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security roles. A strong hands-on technical background is required in the following areas:

  • Security Operations (SOC)
  • Incident Response & Digital Forensics
  • Network & Cloud Security
  • Vulnerability Management & Penetration Testing

Proven experience in security architecture and security controls design is necessary, along with a solid understanding of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC). Experience working within enterprise and government environments is considered a strong advantage. The ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders is essential, as are strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

Professional Certifications

While not all are mandatory, the following certifications are highly valued:

  • CISSP (Required or Strongly Preferred)
  • CISM or CISA
  • CEH / OSCP / GPEN
  • ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor
  • Cloud Security certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP Security) are a plus
  • Any NCA-related or local regulatory certifications are a plus

Educational Background

A Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is considered a plus.
