Job Description

About the E-commerce Officer Role

Seara International is seeking a Full-time E-commerce Officer to manage digital operations for its food production lines in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This role is central to ensuring online sales workflows, catalog compliance, and real-time stock management for perishable and frozen goods.

Role Context and Impact

The E-commerce Officer plays a critical role in bridging digital orders with temperature-controlled warehouse fulfillment. This involves meticulous attention to detail to ensure products arrive fresh and safe, reflecting accurate allergen and nutritional disclosures, and strict expiration date tracking. The position requires a strong understanding of the specific demands of the food and frozen food sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate online product listings, ensuring mandatory regulatory compliance for food items, including clear visibility of ingredients, allergen warnings, nutritional facts, and storage instructions.
  • Manage complex pricing structures, such as weight-based variants, bulk wholesale bundles, and institutional pack sizes.
  • Update and audit product photography to ensure packaging updates accurately match the digital storefront.
  • Oversee the automated flow of online orders to the cold-storage facility, prioritizing processing based on delivery schedules and geographic zones.
  • Coordinate directly with specialized third-party logistics (3PL) refrigerated couriers to ensure strict adherence to temperature-controlled delivery windows.
  • Monitor and minimize shipping transit times to prevent product thawing or spoilage, implementing backup protocols for delayed deliveries.
  • Monitor real-time inventory levels of raw/frozen stock, coordinating with production planning to prevent the online sale of out-of-stock items.
  • Implement digital "First-In, First-Out" (FIFO) logic online to promote and clear batches with shorter remaining shelf lives through targeted discounts or bundles.
  • Set up automated alerts for low inventory on high-demand, high-production-cycle items.
  • Deploy online promotions, flash sales, and seasonal campaigns tailored to consumer demand cycles.
  • Analyze buying patterns to provide data-backed demand forecasting to the production team, ensuring manufacturing lines align with digital sales trends.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Food Science, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of e-commerce operations experience, with at least 1 year specifically in the Food & Beverage (F&B), FMCG, or perishable goods sector.

Required Skills and Technical Knowledge

  • Proficiency with e-commerce systems such as Shopify, Magento, or localized food-delivery/B2B platforms.
  • Experience with ERP inventory modules (*, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Solid understanding of cold-chain logistics, food safety tracking (basic awareness of HACCP principles is a plus), and last-mile delivery operations.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills for handling large bulk uploads of product variants, expiration data sheets, and stock synchronization lists.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and offers an opportunity to contribute to the digital growth of a leading food production company.
