About Bupa Arabia and the Role

Bupa Arabia is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Endocrinology Consultant to join its medical team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to providing comprehensive medical care for patients with endocrine disorders within a framework of evidence-based practices and personalized treatment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough medical assessments, including detailed patient histories, physical examinations, and the ordering and interpretation of specialized diagnostic tests for endocrine disorders.
  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of endocrine conditions, such as diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorders, adrenal disorders, pituitary disorders, and reproductive hormone disorders.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients, incorporating evidence-based medicine, patient preferences, and individualized endocrine care.
  • Monitor and manage chronic endocrine conditions, providing ongoing care, medication management, and lifestyle interventions to optimize patient health.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding endocrine disorders, lifestyle modifications, medication management, and self-care strategies.
  • Utilize both in-person and telemedicine platforms to provide consultations, monitor patients' progress, and offer virtual follow-up care when appropriate.

Collaborative Practice and Population Health

The consultant will collaborate with primary care physicians, specialists, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care. A key aspect of this role involves practicing population health management by identifying and addressing endocrine health issues at a population level, implementing preventive measures, and promoting health awareness.

Value-Based Care and Continuous Improvement

This role embraces value-based care principles, focusing on optimizing patient outcomes and reducing healthcare costs through care coordination, preventive measures, and efficient resource utilization. The consultant will also participate in quality improvement initiatives, research activities, and clinical audits to enhance patient care and outcomes in endocrinology.

Professional Standards and Development

Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records for patients, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, is a core responsibility. The consultant is expected to stay updated with the latest advancements in endocrinology, including new treatment modalities, guidelines, population health management strategies, and value-based care models.

Experience Requirements

Candidates for this Endocrinology Consultant position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in the field.
