Executive Director Operations (Real Estate Developer)

About the Role

Big Fish Consult is seeking an Executive Director Operations for a leading Real Estate Developer client. This full-time position is based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and involves overseeing the operational efficiency of large-scale development areas and managing a significant asset portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a team of up to 10 direct reports, ensuring effective performance and collaboration.
• Oversee and maintain accountability for the day-to-day operations across large development areas, ensuring high levels of operational efficiency.
• Provide operational management for all assets within the portfolio, including buildings, infrastructure, and public areas.
• Understand and manage the bidding and tender processes for multiple suppliers.
• Oversee service delivery for safety, security, facilities management (FM), maintenance, and cleaning services.
• Apply strong contract management knowledge to ensure compliance with Service Level Standards (SLA) and operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Communicate effectively with government authorities and external stakeholders to meet operational requirements.
• Prepare and deliver high-level reports to the executive leadership team.
• Ensure adherence to governance, compliance, and health and safety standards.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management, preferably within the real estate development sector.
• Proficiency in Arabic is required.
• Demonstrated experience in managing large teams and complex operational portfolios.
• Proven ability to manage supplier bidding and tender processes.
• Strong background in contract management and service level agreement adherence.
• Experience in stakeholder communication, including government authorities.
• Capability in high-level reporting and presentation to executive teams.
• Knowledge of governance, compliance, and health and safety regulations.
