About the Role

فولت للنقل والتخزين (Volt Transport & Storage) is seeking a Gate Dispatcher to join their team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is critical for managing and monitoring all truck movements within the container yard, ensuring efficient operations, precise documentation, and strict adherence to safety protocols for all incoming and outgoing containers and trucks.

Key Responsibilities

• Control and monitor all truck movements entering and exiting the container yard.
• Verify container numbers, booking details, and documentation before allowing gate entry or exit.
• Record all container and truck transactions in the yard management system or logbook.
• Coordinate with the Yard Supervisor, Yard Coordinator, and equipment operators for container pickup or drop-off instructions.
• Issue gate passes and delivery orders for containers as per company procedures.
• Ensure that containers entering or leaving the yard match the shipping line or customer documentation.
• Communicate clearly with truck drivers regarding yard procedures, safety rules, and designated loading/unloading areas.
• Maintain proper queue management to avoid congestion at the gate.
• Report any damaged containers, incorrect documentation, or suspicious activities to the supervisor immediately.
• Keep proper records of daily gate transactions, container movements, and truck details.
• Always ensure compliance with yard safety and security procedures.
• Support the operations team with daily operational reports and documentation.
• Follow all company HSE policies and yard safety procedures.
• Ensure drivers follow yard traffic and safety rules.
• Report any safety risks or operational issues immediately.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent degree.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in a relevant field, preferably within logistics, transportation, or yard operations.

Essential Skills and Attributes

• Strong attention to detail for verifying documentation and container information.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with truck drivers and internal teams.
• Ability to manage queues and maintain order in a dynamic environment.
• Commitment to safety and security protocols within a container yard setting.
• Proficiency in recording transactions and maintaining accurate records.

Employment Details

This is a full-time position based in Jeddah. The salary range for this role is SAR 3,750 - SAR 5,625. Please note that this position is exclusively open to Saudi nationals.
