About the Role

WSP Middle East is seeking an experienced GIS Specialist to contribute to major transportation, road, and utility infrastructure projects in Jeddah and Makkah. This full-time position involves managing, maintaining, and analyzing geospatial data to support various project phases, from construction supervision to asset management and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and manage GIS databases, geodatabases, and spatial datasets for infrastructure projects.
• Support transportation, roads, utilities, and drainage projects through geospatial analysis and mapping.
• Integrate survey, utility, engineering, and construction data into GIS platforms.
• Produce high-quality GIS maps, drawings, dashboards, and spatial reports for project teams and clients.
• Support utility coordination, asset inventories, and infrastructure mapping activities.

Data Management and Project Support

• Verify the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of geospatial data received from contractors and stakeholders.
• Manage and maintain GIS data standards, metadata, and quality control procedures.
• Coordinate with land surveyors, engineers, and site supervision teams to ensure accurate spatial representation of project assets.
• Support the preparation of as-built GIS records and digital asset databases.
• Perform spatial analysis to support project planning, progress monitoring, and decision-making.
• Assist in the development and implementation of GIS workflows and data management processes.
• Support client reporting requirements and geospatial data submissions throughout project delivery.

Essential Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of GIS experience, preferably on infrastructure projects.
• Mandatory experience working within Saudi Arabia (KSA).
• Proven experience working with engineering consultancy firms.
• Strong experience supporting transportation, roads, highways, utilities, and general infrastructure projects.

Preferred Experience and Skills

• Experience supporting construction supervision and infrastructure delivery projects is preferred.
• Demonstrated strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills.

Work Location

This full-time position is based in Jeddah, with project involvement in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
