MSA - The Safety Company is seeking a Junior Technical Service Engineer to join its team in Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is for an engineer with 2-5 years of experience, contributing to MSA's mission of protecting people and assets globally through innovation and technology.

Role Overview and Reporting Structure

The Junior Technical Service Engineer reports directly to the Middle East FGFD Services and Solutions Leader. This role is responsible for managing service assignments across Saudi Arabia, focusing on the commissioning, servicing, maintenance, on-site calibration, repair, and training for MSA's range of Industrial PPE and Fire Services products, including gas detectors, control panels, HVAC-R, and monitoring systems.

Core Service Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the FGFD Service and Projects team to plan and execute project commissioning schedules.
• Execute on-site paid repair, maintenance, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with authorized service partners (ASPs) and support end-users in carrying out calibration, repair, maintenance, and training.
• Provide sales support to country and field sales managers for MSA products as required.
• Engage with Middle East HQ to resolve warranty, quality, and product/spare part challenges.
• Assist the Quality Engineer by preparing field visit reports for customer quality notes and managing warranty replacements.
• Provide inspection, service, site visit reports, and calibration certificates.
• Support customers with spare parts, services, and training through telephone, email, face-to-face, and on-site assistance.
• Report customer issues or concerns to management and suggest appropriate solutions.
• Collect data and images of products to support business intelligence for both sales and service organizations.

Business Development and Partner Support

• Promote MSA’s service business by maintaining and developing relationships with ASPs, channel partners, and customers.
• Manage service visits, on-site commissioning, and service requirements, assisting ASPs in securing Annual Maintenance Contracts.
• Assist in the implementation of MSA Service policies with selected/certified channel partners in non-ARAMCO accounts.
• Periodically visit ASPs to address service challenges and conduct annual audits to ensure compliance.
• Develop and nurture strong customer relationships by offering responsive service.
• Organize and attend service meetings and training as required.
• Expand service support coverage across underserved markets.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Education: A Diploma in any specialization with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, or an Engineering Degree in any specialization with 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on field experience servicing electronics, instrumentation, mechanical, and pneumatic products.
• Proven track record in product commissioning, servicing, repair, maintenance, and training.
• Experience in troubleshooting, service reporting, and tracking.
• Strong customer-facing skills, with the ability to act as a service consultant and identify/propose long-term service contracts.
• Ability to represent the voice of the customer internally to improve service quality.
