About the Role of Massage Therapist

Marriott International is seeking a Massage Therapist to join our team in Makkah, serving guests across Jeddah and Makkah. This full-time role is ideal for individuals with 0-1 year of experience who are dedicated to providing exceptional massage and body treatments, ensuring guest comfort, safety, and satisfaction within a professional spa environment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide a range of massage services to guests, utilizing appropriate props and products.
  • Deliver various body treatments, including body scrubs, wraps, and hydrotherapy.
  • Thoroughly assess guest needs and inquire about any contraindications (*, allergies, high blood pressure, pregnancy) before commencing services.
  • Escort guests to and from treatment rooms, ensuring a smooth experience.
  • Actively promote and sell spa/salon services, including retail offerings related to the Spa.
  • Regularly check with guests to promote comfort, safety, and security throughout the service.

Operational Standards and Professional Conduct

  • Arrange and maintain the workstation, treatment room, and drapes to ensure a professional and clean environment.
  • Clean, maintain, and sterilize all tools and equipment, ensuring proper disposal of trash and dirty linens throughout the shift.
  • Secure all supplies and equipment at the end of each shift.
  • Monitor and adhere to the daily time schedule for appointments.
  • Handle inappropriate guest behavior by following Marriott International's standard operating procedures, which may include stopping a treatment or service and informing a supervisor/manager.
  • Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe work conditions to the manager promptly.
  • Complete all required safety training and certifications.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, ensuring uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing their service needs, and thanking them with genuine appreciation.
  • Communicate with others using clear and professional language, and develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 0-1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to maintain current skills and licensure in the service area as per regional requirements.
  • Commitment to staying current with the latest techniques and modalities relevant to the field of work.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Capability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight.
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
  • Requires fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination for manipulating objects.

Additional Duties

The Massage Therapist will also perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors to support the overall operation of the spa.
