About the Role

Marriott Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Massage Therapist to join our team in Jeddah. This full-time position is responsible for providing professional massage and body treatments to guests, ensuring their comfort and safety within the spa environment. The role requires maintaining high standards of service and hygiene, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional massage services to guests using appropriate props and products.
• Deliver body treatments, including body scrubs, wraps, and hydrotherapy.
• Assess guest needs and inquire about contraindications (*, allergies, high blood pressure, pregnancy) before commencing services.
• Stay informed about current techniques and modalities relevant to massage and body treatments.
• Escort guests to and from treatment rooms.

Guest Experience and Service Standards

• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing their service needs.
• Maintain frequent communication with guests throughout services to ensure comfort, safety, and security.
• Promote and sell spa/salon services, including retail offerings related to the Spa.
• Speak with others using clear and professional language, fostering positive working relationships.
• Handle inappropriate guest behavior by following Marriott International standard operating procedures.

Operational Duties and Compliance

• Arrange and maintain the workstation, treatment room, and drapes.
• Clean, maintain, and sterilize tools, ensuring the cleanliness of the workstation and treatment room throughout the shift.
• Dispose of trash and dirty linens, and secure supplies and equipment at the end of each shift.
• Monitor and adhere to the time schedule throughout the day.
• Maintain current skills and licensure in the service area as per regional requirements.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager; complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Follow all company policies and procedures, ensuring uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred. This role is suitable for candidates with 0 to 1 year of experience.
• Education: A Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree is preferred.
• License/Certification: A State or Regional Massage License is required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Capability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
