About the Role

Delta Hotels and Resorts® is seeking a dedicated Mgr Food & Beverage I to join our team in Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is responsible for overseeing all food and beverage operations, including culinary, restaurant, beverage, and room service. The role focuses on maintaining high standards, achieving financial objectives, and ensuring exceptional guest and employee satisfaction.

Operational and Financial Management

The Manager Food & Beverage I develops and implements comprehensive business plans for all food and beverage operations. Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and managing financial, employee engagement, and guest satisfaction plans for all Food and Beverage departments.
• Maintaining a positive cost management index for kitchen and restaurant operations.
• Utilizing budgets effectively to achieve financial objectives.
• Managing day-to-day operations across culinary, restaurant, beverage, and room service.
• Ensuring compliance with all applicable food and beverage laws and regulations.

Team Leadership and Employee Engagement

This role involves comprehensive leadership and management of the Food and Beverage team, fostering a productive and positive work environment. Responsibilities include:

• Supervising and managing all day-to-day employee operations, including understanding roles to cover duties when necessary.
• Leading, influencing, and encouraging team members through strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating honesty and integrity.
• Cultivating an environment that promotes motivation, empowerment, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Providing proactive coaching, counseling, and a learning atmosphere to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
• Conducting timely performance reviews, setting clear expectations, and monitoring productivity.
• Promoting fair treatment and open communication policies within the department.

Guest Experience and Service Standards

A core aspect of this position is ensuring an exceptional guest experience, consistently aligning with the brand's service culture. Key duties include:

• Providing excellent customer service and proactively addressing guest concerns.
• Setting and maintaining high service expectations for all guests, both internal and external.
• Taking full ownership of guest complaints until resolution or appropriate escalation.
• Ensuring all banquet functions meet or exceed guest expectations and established standards.
• Serving as a role model for appropriate behaviors and continuously working to improve service quality.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess a strong background in food and beverage management and meet the following requirements:

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant food and beverage management capacity.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Alternatively, a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a closely related major.

Additional Responsibilities

Beyond core operational duties, the Manager Food & Beverage I will also:

• Ensure full compliance with all corporate accounting procedures.
• Facilitate effective communication and information sharing with supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates.
• Analyze information and evaluate results to identify optimal solutions and resolve operational challenges.
• Drive effective departmental communication through logs, department meetings, and property meetings.
