MAFCO – Mahmoud Atta Factory for Metal Products Co. is a growing steel fabrication company based in Jeddah, Makkah. We serve contractors and developers across Saudi Arabia, specializing in structural steel, hollow metal doors, fencing and gates, handrails, bollards, and lockers. As we expand into our new factory, we are seeking a Procurement Engineer to strengthen our supply chain.

Role Overview

The Procurement Engineer will be responsible for managing the full procurement cycle for various materials, from sourcing to delivery. This full-time role involves both local and international sourcing, with a particular focus on imports, and requires strong logistics and supply chain management skills to ensure timely material availability for production.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and purchase materials including steel, sheet metal, tubes, hardware, coatings, and consumables from local and international suppliers.
• Manage the full import cycle from China and other countries, covering RFQs, negotiation, order placement, shipping, customs clearance, and final delivery.
• Oversee logistics operations, including coordination with freight forwarders, brokers, port clearance, and management of inbound and outbound shipments.
• Support export activities and prepare necessary documentation in alignment with factory expansion plans.
• Compare quotations, implement cost control measures, and cultivate strong relationships with suppliers.
• Collaborate with the estimating, engineering, and production teams to ensure materials are available on schedule.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or similar field) or an equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience in procurement within metal fabrication or metal sourcing.
• Hands-on experience with international imports, specifically from China and other countries, including knowledge of Incoterms, Saber/SASO, and customs clearance procedures.
• Familiarity with export procedures and documentation.
• Strong logistics and supply chain management skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and modern tools, including AI tools.

Location and Eligibility

This full-time position requires the candidate to currently reside in Jeddah. A valid driving license is also a mandatory requirement for this role.
