Procurement Engineer

About the Role

AREEB is seeking a Procurement Engineer to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position is designed for professionals with 0-1 years of experience. The Procurement Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting project planning and ensuring the timely and accurate procurement of necessary materials and supplies.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to leverage technical knowledge of materials and supplies to facilitate the completion of projects from initiation to conclusion. This involves managing the technical aspects of contracts and identifying required items and their suppliers to support project execution effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate and coordinate regularly with internal departments to ensure efficient delivery of items.
• Study, review, and divide new projects into manageable packages for team distribution.
• Update the weekly progress plan report daily and compare planned progress against actual data.
• Follow up with the tender department to stay informed on all offers sent to subcontractors.
• Coordinate with the planning department regarding project updates to plan for necessary items.
• Liaise with the purchasing department on the availability of required items and obtain supplier recommendations.
• Prepare the technical components of contracts for submission with the final contract draft.

Required Experience

• 0-1 years of experience in procurement or a related engineering field.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within the AREEB team. The role involves significant coordination across various departments to ensure project success.
