The Neuroscience Team
Our Neuroscience team addresses significant brain health challenges, including multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, myasthenia gravis, epilepsy, major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and autism. This patient-focused team is dedicated to developing treatments, finding cures, and pioneering solutions from research to patient care.
Role Overview: Product Specialist Neuroscience
Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a Product Specialist Neuroscience to join our team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time role requiring 2-5 years of relevant experience. The primary responsibility of the Product Specialist is to represent Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine to healthcare professionals, ensuring products are utilized based on their clinical indications and merit, while adhering to all Credo obligations. The role focuses on promoting registered products within their indications to enhance patient access by detailing product value.
Key Responsibilities
- Maximize patient share for assigned products by understanding patient pathways and ensuring sales processes comply with J&J guidelines, quality standards, and local laws.
- Engage healthcare professionals (HCPs) through a multichannel approach (face-to-face, email, phone calls, presentations) according to CVT strategy, providing quality feedback for each interaction.
- Achieve market share targets within the designated territory.
- Promote Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine's image as a scientific, transformational digital innovator within assigned accounts and organize promotional/digital scientific meetings.
- Conduct comprehensive account mapping, including understanding logistical processes, product listing, contracting, stakeholders, and decision-making within accounts.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers and stakeholders within accounts (*, Directors of Pharmacy, Senior Procurement Managers, Tender Managers, Hospital Management).
- Identify short and long-term business opportunities in alignment with the Business Unit strategy, collaborating with the Market Access team.
- Fulfill all Customer Interaction Excellence (CIE) index and KPIs within agreed timelines, including database updates, accurate reporting of HCP visits with valuable feedback, correct sample handling, and continuous improvement of qualitative performance.
- Maintain updated knowledge of disease areas, products, and competitors by achieving results in scientific quizzes and attending assigned training courses, demonstrating improved technical and ethical business practices.
- Organize assigned activities in compliance with all rules and using the stipulated CRM system.
Required Skills and Experience
Candidates for this role should possess 2-5 years of experience and demonstrate the following skills:
- Adherence to the Johnson & Johnson Credo and leadership imperatives.
- Strong awareness of factors affecting territory and account performance, with timely reporting of relevant business information to management.
- High sense of urgency and ability to act on business opportunities using analytical skills and disciplined execution.
- Collaborative approach and ability to contribute effectively within a team.
- Competitive drive to position products as leaders while strictly adhering to compliance rules.
- Ability to report information that could affect Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine's image or any misconduct by internal or external stakeholders.
Compliance and Ethical Conduct
The role requires strict adherence to all set guidelines, policies, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of Johnson & Johnson and local regulations. This includes local laws, Healthcare Business Integrity (HCBI) guidelines, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), the Policy of Business Conduct, and other J&J policies. Compliance also extends to pharmacovigilance rules for notifying Adverse Events & Product Quality Complaints, quality and compliance practices, global fleet safety standards, and local traffic laws.
